August and September 2010..............

Next up, Troy's surgery!  So, Troy had his thyroid removed and all went well:)  During the surgery there was a bad thunderstorm and anyone who knows me KNOWS that I am very uneasy when it comes to these things.  I have a love/hate relationship with thunderstorms.  Troy's parents were there with me...all cool and calm.  I kept switching seats and checking the "board/TV" to make sure Troy was out of surgery!  Finally, all settled down, I went to talk to the doctor and all was great!  Praise the Lord!  Troy did have to spend the night which I was happy about because it put my mind at ease a little.  We were so glad to have this medical issue behind us.  We were ready for the season of doctors, illness, health scares, etc. to be all behind us now.  2010 had definitely been the year of medical "stuff" for our family!!  The next battle to tackle was Reed going to the allergist!  He went to his appointment at the end of August and boy was it a traumatic experience!!  Poor little guy had to endure a skin prick test on his back!  22 pricks I believe!  He was absolutely pitiful and it took all I had not to loose it that day.  We did find out that he is allergic to milk, eggs, nuts, soy, wheat, and dogs.  I felt better knowing what he was allergic to but felt sad that he was allergic to so many things.  Then I realized that we would not be able to bring our dog Bella to Wilmington either:(  She has been residing in Greenville since we moved.  Our plan was to move her here when we put a fence up.  Oh well.  September was a pretty calm month.  Reed keeps growing and growing!  He is such a good baby and smiles all the time.  He brings us so much joy!!
