Okay, so the next day, Dana and I were on the beach relaxing while the boys were playing. I casually asked her......"Guess who is pregnant?" She was like, "Who??!!" "You??!!" Of course my smile and facial expression gave it all away. All she could say was SHUT-UP! I made her promise not tell anyone! She agreed. Turns out, Troy had confided in Jayme who had already been told by Dana. Jayme had played it cool with Troy like he had no idea. It all came out that Thursday or Friday. It was pretty funny and we all had a good laugh. I couldn't wait to tell my parents so we sent them a picture text that looked similar to this.........

Mom's response...nothing by the cell phone so we sent it to her email address which then warranted a phone call to me:) She thought I was kidding and playing a joke on her. NOPE! NOT A JOKE!! Dad's response...."What does it say? It is too small for me to read." HAHA! Typical daddy but we told him and he was tickled and excited! We kept mum the rest of the week of vacation except for me getting in touch with Kelly and telling her. I was in shock and could not believe I was actually on the pregnancy journey again:) That weekend, we told Troy's parents. They were so excited! Troy and I were very thankful for this news we were sharing. You see, we had recently found out that Troy had thyroid cancer. Troy has had thyroid disease for about 10 years and had always had a nodule on his thyroid. It never grew or changed while it was being monitored in Greenville. When the doctor here examined Troy he did not like how it felt and ordered a biopsy. Troy had not had a biopsy of the nodule in a few years so it was time for one. The labs came back and it showed that there was highly suspicious cells in the nodule. The doctor was convinced it was cancer. He said he had seen many thyroids/nodules and can pretty much tell which ones were cancer. SOOOOOOO......accepting this news was hard BUT the baby news kept us distracted until it was time for his surgery which was scheduled for August. Meanwhile, we did lots of research and felt better about what we learned. The main thing we learned and kept hearing was that thyroid cancer is a very slow growing cancer so we were very encouraged. We were more concerned about the surgery than the cancer itself. More to come..................................
