After all the company had left, we packed up the Pilot again to get ready for our annual vacation at Topsail on July 24th. Early that morning I drove half way back to Wilson to meet my parents to drop Halei off. I was sad but she said she was ready to go home:( Once Reed and I got back to Wilmington, we finished packing and helped daddy load the car. Whew! First vacation with a child~the truck was PACKED! Poor Reed had stuff piled up beside him in the back seat! We finally made it to the beach house around 5:30ish that afternoon. Everyone was already there! We had a great meal that night (compliments of Vickie Grace). The house was big and spacious. It was a great relaxing week. The weather was awesome and the ocean was not to rough. Reed loves the beach and the water. He is not sure what to think about the waves crashing on him though! We loved catching up with everyone and already started planning for next year. Next year we're thinking we need to stay 2 weeks in a row.....1 week to unpack and unwind, the next week to just relax! We also had photographer Scott Piner come and take some pictures of all the families. He comes every year and this year we actually had a "family" to photograph:) Reed did great and was all smiles! I will share a few of those pictures along with pictures we took of our vacation. Count down is already on for next year!!
